It’s officially winter craft time! And what says winter more than snowflakes?
This popsicle stick snowflake craft is perfect for little ones. Not only is it a fun and easy way to spend an afternoon, but it also makes a great decoration for the windowsill or the Christmas tree. So gather up those popsicle sticks and let’s get started!

Popsicle Stick Snowflake Craft
A great way to occupy little hands during the chilly winter months and a fun opportunity to teach your kids about the science of snowflakes!
Popsicle Stick Snowflake Craft Supplies
- Popsicle sticks (you need 4 for each snowflake)
- White craft paint
- Paintbrush
- Paper plate
- Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
- Glitter (for this project, I used fine iridescent glitter and jumbo glitter)
- Sequins (for this I used iridescent/clear sequins)
- Clear glue
- Small cup (optional for paint)

Directions:
Place the popsicle sticks on the paper plate.
Use your paintbrush to paint each popsicle stick with white paint. Make sure to cover the sides of the sticks and the back (optional). Use two or more coats if necessary.
Once dry, squirt a dab of hot glue in the center of one of the sticks. Place another popsicle stick on top, forming a + shape.
Squirt a dab of glue in the center and place a stick diagonally.
Do this again, making an X shape. This will form the complete snowflake.
To decorate the snowflake, pour clear glue on the top of each popsicle stick and spread the glue around with the tip of the bottle.
Start putting glitters and/or sequins then set aside to try.
Display!
