Ocean Cursive Letter Find Printable

The fresh air, the warm breeze, and the feel of sand on your toes make the ocean a wonderful place to be. For those who aren’t able to get to the ocean, we can still have fun learning about the ocean through books and documentaries.  If you have an ocean lover, this fun ocean cursive letter find printable will help them begin to recognize cursive letters. While many believe cursive writing is dead, some homeschoolers teach cursive to their kids before manuscript letters, we like to transition to cursive writing in third grade. Because I have a reluctant writer who feels like his hand may fall off if he writes more than two sentences I’m starting in the 4th grade with my son.

I really need to work on penmanship with him and my oldest so they’re both going through it. I had ignored it with my oldest and his writing looks atrocious.

This is a fun way to get my son introduced to the letters because cursive letters may as well look like a new alphabet, at least to him anyways.

Want to save on ink? Try the HP Instant Ink program to save money on ink. I have the HP 8710 which is discontinued, but it has a scanner and copying feature which is super handy as a homeschooler. I’ve been super happy with my HP printer for our homeschool needs.

Print out the cursive letter find pages onto paper and have your child use a bingo dabber or dot marker to find the correct letters. If you’d like to reuse them, place them in a page protector and have your child use a block, pom poms, or mini erasers to mark the correct answers.

Why learn cursive?

Imagine your children not being able to read old history texts or writing from others that aren’t printed. I wanted all my kids to learn to read and write it even if they choose not to use it.

One of my two boys choose to write cursive and his penmanship is gorgeous. The other can read it but prefers to print.

Some homeschoolers prefer to start teaching their kids to write cursive letters before manuscripts. We didn’t do that but it’s another way of thinking.

Recommended Ocean Books for Kids

I always like to have an ocean encyclopedia on hand too since the kids love to see real photos of all of the weird sea creatures that are found in the ocean. Pair it with a fun ocean story and any child will want to visit the ocean.

We’re still huge fans of picture books paired with non-fiction selections so we can see the real versions of the animals.
