If your kids are looking forward to spring and all its animals, then this Easter-themed counting activity will make it a blast. I’ve found great success in combining learning activities with adorable pictures so I’m hopeful that this will work for you and your home as well.

The best part about these printable counting cards is that they’re free and simple to use. All of our activities are available immediately after you download them so you’re literally not going to have to wait very long at all.

I highly recommend that you print the counting cards onto card stock then have your child use clothespins to choose the correct answer. Using card stock just makes them a little sturdier than other options and that means that they’ll last longer, too.

The puzzles counting to 10, count by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s as well with a fun Easter chick theme.

While your kids may not understand the concept of skip counting right now, it doesn’t hurt to expose it to them and they can figure it all out on their own using the pictures as a guide to complete the puzzle.

What age group is counting cards geared towards?

These are for early learners and preschool-aged children. However, if there is interest in any age of a child, I never tell them that they can’t join in on the learning fun.

The way I see it, the more the merrier as we’re gathered around the table and having a good time. And when a child expresses interest in wanting to learn, the easy answer is to let them do so, always.

These counting cards are a great way to build confidence so that they can move on to something a bit more challenging.

Can you reuse these counting cards once you print them?

Yes, you can. If you own a laminator, this is the easiest way to make them reusable. Once you print them out, just use your laminator to give them a nice sturdy overlay. Then, your child can use them and you can wipe them clean to use over and over again.

We laminate almost all of our printables and I keep them in a binder that I can take with us on the go. There are so many times when we’re sitting and just “waiting” so these activities are much better than just handing them my phone to keep them occupied.
