Christmas Lacing Cards

These Christmas Lacing Cards are the perfect way to combine holiday fun and learning! What I love about lacing cards is that it helps children work on their fine motor skills as well as their concentration, too.

You can print out your own Christmas lacing cards and have fun with these Christmas theme printouts while practicing your fine motor skills. The holidays are just around the corner and I love this time of the year. Right after Halloween, we’re all about Christmas.

Truth be told, I’m all about any type of holiday. If you’ve been following along with the blog for a while, you know that I have a ton of amazing holiday variety for each and every season and holiday of the year.

We love to print these out and have them on hand for our Christmas travels or when we’re running errands around town as well. The lacing cards are a great way to add a little focus and creativity during a time that feels a bit chaotic and busy.

Christmas Lacing Cards

Print these out onto cardstock, laminate them and then you can hole punch them to use with your kids. These are super easy to make your own and my kids love playing with these since they like the challenge.

If you are traveling for the holiday season, I highly recommend laminating them. They are so handy to just stick in your bag or purse and use them whenever you have some time that you need to pass.

Sitting in waiting rooms, traveling in the car long distances or even just as a way to unwind after a busy day of family fun, these lacing cards are a great way to keep your little ones engaged and busy learning.

Lacing Cards Supplies

You’ll need the following supplies to get these Christmas lacing cards printed and ready to go.

• Printer (I have this one)
• Paper or cardstock
• Laminator
• One hole punch
• String or shoelace

Print out the lacing cards onto paper or cardstock and laminate them. If you don’t have a laminator, you could cover them in contact paper. Use the one hole puncher to punch out holes for your child to thread the string through.

My daughter still loves working on lacing activities, it uses their fine motor skills and requires some patience. I have found that once we do it together a couple times, she then has the confidence to take off and start working on them on her own.

One of the best parts of learning with your child is that you are also able to watch them grow in their confidence as well!

As your child starts to be more independent, they’ll be able to do these lacing cards on their own. They’ll love knowing that this is a project that they can start and finish and not feel overly stressed or worried about it being too difficult.

We tend to do lacing cards at all times of the year and we love having lacing cards that are as festive as the holidays that we’re celebrating or looking forward to celebrating.
